2024 Award "Best Practice in Citizen Participation"

The Waste Bank Project project was created with the idea that waste should be collected separately at the source within the scope of zero waste studies in our region. 

It is aimed to increase public awareness on environment and zero waste issues, to ensure participation in social responsibility projects, and to contribute to the home economy of the People of Selcuklu. Citizens can become members by bringing the paper - cardboard, plastic, glass and metal waste they collect separately at home to My Waste Box (Atık Kumbaram) points and filling out the form. Waste collected separately at the source is weighed and collected by the officials according to the waste type. Waste fees are loaded onto My Waste Box (Atık Kumbaram) cards. The loaded TL information is also sent to citizens via SMS. Our citizens can spend the Money accumulated in their waste money cards at contracted markets or member businesses.

Within the scope of the project, citizens are served between 09.00 and 17.00 in the bazaar places, 6 days a week, with a fixed and specially equipped mobile vehicle in four locations.
