2025 Award "Best Practice in Citizen Participation"

“WITH US” is a comprehensive gender equality program promoted by the San Luis Potosí City Council, designed to reduce inequalities and prevent violence against women.

The practice began in October 2024 with the formation of the “Con Nosotras” Brigade, which gives continuity to the Violet Brigade (2021-2024). 

Phases of the process: 

1️⃣ Diagnosis and planning: Identification of priority areas and women's needs. 

2️⃣ Training of brigadistas: Women leaders are trained in gender equality, violence prevention and community leadership. 

3️⃣ Implementation in the territory: 90 brigades are installed in hot zones and 160 Violet Points are set up to provide information and assistance. 

4️⃣ Appropriation of public space: 5 murals were painted in conflict zones to strengthen community identity. 

5️⃣ Dissemination strategy: 275 advertising resources and 73 information spaces were implemented in key avenues. 

6️⃣ Monitoring and evaluation: Follow-up with community leaders and impact surveys.

Key results:

✔️ 4,294 brigade members trained in 90 community brigades.

✔️ 160 Puntos Violeta (Violet Points) installed in high-risk areas.

✔️ 5 community murals in conflictive spaces.

✔️ 275 advertising resources and 73 information spaces in key avenues.

✔️ Gender perspective mainstreaming in municipal policies.

The program has made it possible to generate support networks, empower women and guarantee the continuity of the project in 2025 and beyond, consolidating itself as a replicable and sustainable model of gender equality policies.
