{"body":{"en":"<p>The strengthening of Participatory Budgeting in the city of Paraná consisted of promoting a citizen participation strategy with strong territorial presence, incorporating a Socio-Urban Integration approach to guide interventions toward reducing inequalities and improving living conditions in neighbourhoods with greater needs. Through field surveys, neighbourhood visits, assemblies, and dialogue spaces with residents and local institutions, priority demands were identified and the implementation of projects that improve everyday life in the community was supported.</p><p>During 2024 and 2025, interventions were carried out related to the improvement of urban infrastructure, access to drinking water, road paving and drainage curbs, construction of community facilities, recovery of public spaces, and participatory processes for naming streets and squares. These actions benefited thousands of residents in different areas of the city and made it possible to address long-standing demands related to accessibility, sanitation, and the strengthening of community spaces.</p><p>The initiative also incorporated new participation tools, such as the #YoParticipoEnComunidad program, which promotes civic education and youth participation in secondary schools, expanding the reach of Participatory Budgeting to new actors within the territory.</p><p>The work was carried out through coordination between different municipal departments, neighbourhood institutions, community organizations, and residents, consolidating a governance model that combines citizen participation, urban planning, and coordinated public action. Estas acciones beneficiaron a miles de vecinos de distintas zonas de la ciudad y permitieron resolver demandas históricas vinculadas a la accesibilidad, el saneamiento y el fortalecimiento de espacios comunitarios.</p><p>La práctica también incorporó nuevas herramientas de participación, como el programa #YoParticipoEnComunidad, que promueve la formación ciudadana y la participación juvenil en escuelas secundarias, ampliando el alcance del Presupuesto Participativo hacia nuevos actores del territorio.</p><p>El trabajo se desarrolló mediante la articulación entre distintas áreas municipales, instituciones barriales, organizaciones comunitarias y vecinos, consolidando un modelo de gestión que combina participación ciudadana, planificación urbana y acción pública coordinada.
