Pérez: Ronda Barrial (Neighborhood Rounds)

Avatar: Official proposal Official proposal

Rondas Barriales consist of bringing the participation process directly into the everyday spaces of residents, turning streets, squares, and neighborhood clubs into direct venues for public dialogue. This methodology breaks away from traditional formats based on offices or formal hearings.

The practice combines active listening, participatory mapping, and community prioritization of issues through a simple traffic light system (priority, alert, and positive assessment), making participation accessible to any resident without requiring technical knowledge.

It also brings together residents, local institutions, and municipal teams in the same space, promoting a collaborative and cross-sectoral form of public management. The innovation lies in transforming participation into a regular, territorial, and accessible practice that strengthens citizen trust and turns neighborhood demands into direct inputs for public management.

Impact is a key element throughout the entire process.

Each week, meetings are held in a different neighborhood to carry out this dialogue.
