Esenler: Children's Street
For children, play is not only fun; they find peace both physically and spiritually. They learn by seeing and experiencing through peer transfer. Developing play and socialisation skills in children's lives is very important for the formation of healthy individuals. The project, which can be an example of child-oriented transformation of spaces, also contributes to the principle of equality. In the designed children's street, disabled children are also taken into consideration. In addition, municipality officials on the street take care of these people.
With the aesthetic lighting system and greening work, Esenler has gained a smart children's street and a lush green face. Designs where traditional games can be played have been placed on the children's street (hopscotch with lines, corner snatching, etc.). Sports playgrounds are placed in suitable places on the street. Greening works were carried out on the pavements of the street with flowers and trees. The children in these areas are integrated with nature and there is an environment where they can get rid of their negative energies. There are areas where children can play with soil and put their feet on the grass. A separate track has been created for bicycle users and this track has also become a training place where they can learn traffic rules.
