Fatih: Smart Conversion Card Project With Mobile Tools
Our project aims to provide citizens with a new culture of life by raising awareness about the separate collection of waste at the source. With our project, environmental pollution is prevented by preventing recyclable waste from going to waste, the collected waste is included in the system and citizens gain financial gain.
A modern, transparent and safer work has been implemented with our Smart Transformation Card project carried out with mobile tools.
The positive values of the project are that it is digital, instant query of waste points, balance display feature and the Conversion Card is valid at many shopping points.
Since the project is a social project as well as financial gain, Mobile Waste collection points also serve as the Municipality's access point to citizens. Since our target audience in the project is all citizens living in Fatih, the number of mobile vehicles was increased from 1 to 3 in order to reach more people. Each of our mobile vehicles awaits our citizens at two different points, 6 days a week, in the morning and in the afternoon. In the recycling campaign, we continue our work with our Mobile Waste Collection Vehicles at our 24 waste collection points, 2 fixed waste collection centers and our 1st Class Waste Collection Center.
Our citizens collect their recyclable waste (paper, metal, plastic, glass, waste oil, waste battery, electronic waste, etc.) separately at home, and then the waste is first weighed and processed according to the score type when they bring their waste to the Mobile Waste Collection Vehicle points. Each type of waste has different points, and waste points are deposited into the "Recycling Card" account daily, without any waste point limit. Recycling Cards are available free of charge from waste points. Economic support was provided to those who participated in our project. Along with saving raw materials, the recycling rate was also increased. Unnecessary energy use is prevented. Contributed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The level of knowledge regarding the zero waste project was increased. Sustainable waste management was achieved. Social interaction of citizens who collected their waste separately was increased by guiding people around them. It was ensured that natural assets were protected, consumption habits were changed and awareness about waste was increased. We continue our work to develop our project.
