2024 Award "Best Practice in Citizen Participation"

"Inclusive Urban Planning and Multicultural Engagement in Brno" helped address the pressing need for inclusive urban planning, education, and cultural engagement in our community. Originating from a recognition of the marginalized voices in decision-making processes, our center acts as a vital intermediary between underrepresented communities and urban decision-makers. 

We facilitate collaboration, networking initiatives, and feedback mechanisms to bridge the gap between marginalized groups and broader society, fostering inclusivity and equity in urban management, cultural engagement, and education. By amplifying the voices of diverse stakeholders, including women, young individuals, low-income households, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities, and sexual and gender identity minorities, we contribute to building a more vibrant and cohesive community. Our efforts aim to ensure equal opportunities for all residents to participate in and benefit from the city's development, promoting a more inclusive and cohesive society for Brno.
