Noepé, Ave 2: Social Inclusion and Education of Children Based on Democratic Governance and Citizen Participation
Citizen participation and the inclusion of children and women are practices we are committed to. We have observed that children today are the most vulnerable group, as they are the most exposed, especially in countries where violent extremism prevails. It is with this perspective that the NGO AVEDEC TOGO has decided to bring children together and educate them in peace and in the philosophy of accepting others. We have also noted that some children do not have a conducive environment for success, despite their efforts in school. This motivated us to engage in this practice to protect this vulnerable group and to nurture a responsible, non-violent generation to govern our territories in peace and harmony. Furthermore, we have also focused on women because, through data collection by our NGO, we found a complete absence of women in decision-making spheres. This is concerning because many women are unaware of their rights. That’s why we initiated a program to promote female leadership, to empower young girls in both the educational and professional sectors. In conclusion, our practice will have a significant positive impact on territorial politics and local governance. AVEDEC TOGO is committed to fighting for the inclusion of children and women in participatory democracy. We encourage other civil society organizations to engage in this direction to create a world of peace and tranquility.
